This painting is the third painting in the serie Freedom and Control. It is about a search for freedom and control. Can we control freedom? Is there freedom under control? Does a perfect balance between freedom and control exist?

When we observe our environment and existence we see that the basis of our human existence of mankind is founded on solid structures, rythms and patterns; the universe, the years, seasons, day and night, our human body, the beating of our hearts. All elements that almost unconsciously give structure to our lives that sometimes seem or can be so chaotic. So it is not chaos but structure that is predominant.

Seeking the right balance this painting shows us that despite the choas of our lives it is possible to create that balance when we manage to find the right elements or structures.
